For the second year, the Mid-Summer Mudness Run takes place in the beautiful grounds of Bellurgan Park Estate, Co. Louth, on Saturday 4th June. The Mid Summer Mudness Challenge was a great success last year and it is safe to say this year will be even better.
Race Organisers have surveyed the course and agree it will be as mucky and as challenging as ever. These challenges the participants face will be an uplifting experience and it will be a joy to watch them getting ‘stuck in’ !!! An excellent day out will be had by both participants and spectators alike, after the thrills and spills, enjoy a post event BBQ on the front lawn.
Once again the event is supporting ‘The Birches’ Alzheimer’s Day Care Centre in Dundalk.

This year, in June, Bellurgan Park will host the first and largest Mud Run in the Northeast. The race is set to attract hundreds of people from all sports and walks of life over the Northeast and beyond. The Mid-Summer Mudness Run will be 2 laps of a 2.2k course, and has some 15 obstacles that have to be crossed/conqured by each participant requiring a wee bit of determination. The 2.2k course is an all-terrain race conducted on dirt roads, through fields and trails through the estate area. These trails include mud holes, walls, trenches and other obstacles that require wading, crawling, clambering, climbing and jumping. Some people will come to compete, but many come just to complete, hopefully everyone for the fun of it !!
